Getting Ready!

I am not mentally prepared to leave in one week for a foreign country! Ahh! The bigness of it started to get to me today. Ava has cocsackie (don't ask me how to spell that!...aka hand foot and mouth disease). She is in so much pain. I have come down with something in my throat and my body just feeling really drained. I haven't really started to think about the fact that I am leaving my little ones for two weeks! I am so glad that they are staying with Jess and Sam. It will be good. It's actually felt so right that I haven't had to give much thought to it. But, all the stuff we've got to do is starting to overwhelm me! Laundry, packing, cleaning, getting the girls ready... etc....

But - we're excited more than anything! Personally, I really haven't thought much about what it will be like - I'm going with no expectations about that - only one expectation - that God is going to show himself to us in ways we haven't seen before. I am excited about meeting everyone, and spending time with little French kids and being on the inside (not just a traveler), staying in people's homes and eating their food. I'm also excited that Anthony gets to meet one of the artists he's connected with online. There's also an art show that we are going to try to atend at the end of the trip of another artist he's gotten to know.

Jess is having a send off party on Monday night (which was totally her idea too). It's really cool that God has put her in my life at this moment - she has a lot of what I need right now... knowledge, advice, wisdom etc about this new journey. It's cool. It'll be good to have everyone together to gather around us before we leave.
